Not a rumor, hell might not even be believable, but is this what Ottawa is looking for in return for EK:

Karlsson and Zack Smith to Toronto for Mitch Marner, William Nylander and Connor Carrick.

not saying its at all close. but is that what Ottawa wants? or is that too much? personally, i wouldn't like it from tos perspective, but idrk.

If the sens give up Karlsson that’s what I would like to see in return but there’s no way the leafs would do this maybe one of them but not both and I think we’d have to have someone like better then smith in there for both Nylander and Marner.

Uhhhhhh you’re getting the best defenseman in the world, and you’re giving up up replaceable forwards. If leafs don’t take this then they need to get a clue.
Matthew and Karlsson, or Matthews Marner and Nylander? It’s a pretty easy decision. Besides, leafs are probs saving cap space too getting Karlsson.

If you guys think Nylander and Marner plus Carrick doesn’t get Karlsson your on glue I’m a Sens fan and I’d do it. Nylander and Marner would solidify there top six as some of the best in the league

Yeah, I had a feeling it may not be enough. Maybe Marner, Nylander and like Gardiner? Idk. Cause if we're talking Marner, Nylander and JVR, that's a lot. And I mean, that's two really young players who aren't just nobodies, they're 60-70 point guys in the future with proper development.

Leafs should wait until they reach there potential/ max value and Sell high-Asset manegment. Okay so here is 10 reason why this dosent happen but 1st let’s assume the Karlsson tells the Sens manegment he is testing the UFA market. Other teams will eventually find out about it and it’ll decrease his value dramatically. This is the only way he gets traded because of Karlsson walks that probably leads to a manegment overhaul.

1. Karlsson hasn’t said anything as far as we know about leaving because if he gets traded it’s on his terms.

2. He won't go for that much value because of uncertainty long term.

3. Any package will probably need more positional diversity to get what they want AND get a stop gap to take Karlssons role.

4. Leafs wouldn’t trade both YET. They’d trade 1 and work around trading the other. As much as Karlsson would help us if Marner and Nylander reach their FULL/ MAX potential leafs lost this trade easily.

5.UFA speculation would drive the price down considerably and would probably lead teams to having a a wait and see attitude hoping he hits FA.

6. Ottawa ownership would undoubtedly urge manegment to do anything in power to keep him because he’s a franchise player and he sells tickets.

I tried to be unbiased but yeah this will never happen Karlsson will resign but I could see Doughty hitting the FA market.

Just because you guys overpaid for Duchene doesn't mean other teams will overpay you for your players as well.

2 60+ point players 21 years old and younger aren't exactly easily replaceable players IMO.

Don’t underestimate the effect that a top puck moving defenseman does on your team Ottawa. Trust me I’m a habs fan and I know by experience.
