Last time I checked Columbus needed centers so why trade a young promising one for a winger?

Its a pretty good prospect and a career top 6 defenceman for 30 goal scorer. I don't think Montreal wants to sell now that Price is back, and I don't think Columbus wants to give up their best prospect. While it would work in NHL 18 as the values are similar, it doesn't make sense for the teams.

Oh ya the center needs. Totally forgot about that. They drafted PLD over Puljujarvo because they needed a center not a winger. Now you think they'll give up on him and trade him AND Murray for a winger? Lol.

That's why they drafted him tho.
It's easier for a 19/ 20 year old kid to adjust to the NHL game as a winger too. He is long term their project #1/ 2 center. Don't worry.

Gotta remember age and contract/ controllability too. This and one more year of Patches, or many many years of PLD? Easy no from CLB. As I've said many many times, there's more to a trade than just player for player.

I would not trade pld for an aging winger. Pld is 19 and on pace for 20+ points. Wouldn't trade him.
