Jets say no because wheeler is so good for them and is arguably their best player and identity and leafs probably don’t want to do it either as much as I really like wheeler and what he brings. A much younger, cheaper (for now) and controllable asset is what they will want to keep.

Its a sideways move for the leafs, sure wheeler is great but i don't think the leafs should part with marner unless its for a top pair RHD.

No from WPG since Wheeler is really really good.

If I'm Toronto tho, i only trade Marner for defence, not another forward.

Better then Marner for Faulk or Manson but big no from leafs that’s a huge age gap. When Marner enters his prime he could and I believe most people expect him to be better then wheeler.
