Oil: 3rd or 4th round pick

Leafs: Leivo

Saw in an article.
Leivo is never going to crack leafs roster unless there is an injury. Leafs could use that draft pick as a trade chip if they are buyers at the deadline or they could simply use it.
Oilers get an offensive guy but most importantly a right hand shot winger.

I’d certainly make this if I’m Oilers, but would the leafs?

Dont think the leafs would. 3rd round pick is around a 20% chance to make it into the NHL as a steady player. I think that Leivo shows more promise than that.

No, simply cause if JVR walks, Leivo is his replacement. Rather have a really good injury replacement in leivo than a 3rd.
