One source says Lupul passed physical but

If Lupul does somehow pass independent physical, does he play in NHL or AHL?

I read he passed the NHL physicals and is healthy to play. If the league forces to Leafs to use him, he counts to their cap and that could be huge negatively for the Leafs.

Bill Daley just told Sportsnet that both Lupul and Hossa failed their physicals that the league themselves were doing and both are eligible for LTIR now.

And he wouldn't play for the leafs. He would just count against their cap. They didn't want him around the young guys on the leafs, wouldn't want him around the young guys on the marlies but his contract stops him from being loaned anywhere else, such as ECHL. So he would count on the cap but still be a castoff.
