Colorado: Duchene
Ottawa: Brown, Ceci, 1st

as much as i'd hate to see ceci leave, i think that might be what it takes to get duchene, ottawa gets a solid 1-2-3 with turris-duchene-brassard down the middle, or if you want to do 1-2 punch you could move brassard or duchene to wing. i hate the duchene rumours as much as anyone else, this could get the deal done.

I think it is an overpayment for duchene. Brown is 6'6 young centreman.

Ya, I wanted to trade Brown too. I completely wrote him off as a bust. but damn man. He has looked like a solid 1C this preseason. Really Stepped it up with his pace and positioning this year. And tbh, with his surprising progression, i'm fine with not getting Duchene even though i wanted him for a long time. However, the Sens could trade one of their many D for a top 9 fwd who can help right now that's not as expensive as Duchene.

Hoff. you 'completely wrote off brown as a bust"? But his "surprising progression"made you believe again?! Lol he's a 19 year old first rounder. You wrote him off as a busy because he was sent back to Juanito for a year like 90% of drafted players? And it's surprising progression for a kid to have a better second NHL camp than his first? That sounds like a pretty quick judgement of a good player. Leaf fans get a bad rep of over hyping prospects but I'll take that all day over writing off a 1st round pick after 12 months.

Ceci and a 1st round pick. Sakic overplayed his hand and Duchene may actually stay longer with the Avs than he does. Terrible management of asset in my opinion. Chabot, White, and Brown will not be moved.
