Minor Deal Thought:

Mark Fayne and Jujhar Khaira to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a conditional 6th Round Pick

*Condition:
Mark Fayne plays in 50+ games with NJ - pick becomes a 2018 6th Round Pick
Mark Fayne plays in fewer than 50 games with NJ - no pick transacted.

- New Jersey is so depleted on the backend that they could use someone like Mark Fayne as a 5/ 6 guy, despite his hefty contract and limited skillset.
- They also acquire Khaira, who could provide depth to a relatively top-heavy offensive core in NJ.
- Edmonton adds valuable cap space at a minimal cost (giving up Khaira) : cap space that could be used at the deadline to beef up the team for a playoff run.
- Khaira is easily replaceable in the system, and at best, will become a third liner for the Devils.

He will play a lot this session. Then full time nex season when Letestu is maybe gone.

Fayne is buried in the minors. They don't need to trade Jujhar away for just a conditional 6th to get rid of Faynes contract. This is terrible the more I think about it. They value Jujhar a lot more than this believe it or not.

Lol come on yup. Jujhar is the equvelant of like Josh Leivo, if i could send Leivo and Lupul put for a 6th, i'd do it. Not everyone has as much value as you think.
