Not terrible actually. Panik can pick up some of gallaghers offence on the wing and they get a center prospect with good potential which they could really use. Gallagher can fill a role that the hawks miss since trading Shaw. Just not sure on cap implications as I believe Gallagher is around $4 mill and the other 2 might be 2.5mill combined.

Zero chance Gallagher gets both Panik and Schamltz in return. Maybe Panik + small add for Gallagher but that's pretty lateral for Habs and Hawks couldn't afford it so don't really see a deal here.

Panik was a waiver pick up by the leafs two years ago, he's a bottom six forward who got hot last year for 2 months. No chance he continues that production.

Yea we'll no from Habs cmon. Gllagher is great and has a good contract plus plays aggressively. WOULDN'T trade him unless if it was for a guy like Jonas Brodin I'd do it.

I personally like Gallagher (former Vancouver Giant) but Is he this good? I know he's been injured but he only has 29 goals and 70 points the last 2 season, 35Pt average. (yes I know Gallagher brings a lot more then points but still) . Schamltz is a good young NHL ready player for the Hawks and Panik was an unreal pickup who has scored as many goals as Gallagher the last 2 seasons in the same amount of games pretty much. I don't see how a guy like Gallagher, whose value isn't at a high right now, gets 2 top 6 forwards in return? I don't think Gallagher gets this as a return. Panik and Gally play a fairly similar style game as well.
