In a lot of way, Trouba and a 1st should almost be enough to get a first line center. A top 2 Dman and a 1st is good value. Trouba still has potential to be the number 1 dman IMO. I don't like the guy. both him and Eichel seem to have better than anyone else attitude. Anyway. the only problem with this proposal is that the Winnipeg offer isn't for a 65 to 70 point center, but a 21 year old potential superstar. Eichel has 90 to 100 point potential and will likely battle with Mathews, Draisaitl possibly Barkov as the 2nd best center in the game for the next decade.

Dude Eichel is so much better than Trouba but maybe Oreilly would get u a deal but Winny is going to to add more to even get Oreilly.

Hahaha this is so funny but maybe not because you seem serious. Jets add Laine.

You had proposed this trade and Trouba was a proven legit top pairing dman. It's not far fetched, but he's not. So yeah.

The original proposed trade could happen in the right circumstances but these are not those circumstances.

Jets biggest need is on defense not at forward. Eichel would be taking ice time from a very talented Schiefle and overall very productive group of forwards.

The only reason I can see for trading Trouba is future contract concerns - and why rush, he is restricted when it expires.

The Jets strength and most tradeable players are depth forwards and draft picks. There are too many with potential to be solid NHLers in the system to keep and develop.
