Jets have reportedly shown interest in trading for JVR. Toronto would like Trouba in return it would take more than just JVR.
What kind of deal could maybe be done?
Trouba on Toronto would fit nice.
JVR-Laine-Ehlers-Wheeler. Would Any other team have better top 6 wingers than that?! Schiffle and Little center.

Uhh Trouba wants to leave Winnipeg to go play in the states, why would he leave for another Canadian city? And also 1 year of JVR with no extension isn't on the same level as a young stud in Trouba.

There's no possible deal around 1 year of JVR for Trouba as a base, Jets want a similar LHD for him, not a top 6 LW with 1 year left before UFA status.

Trouba is also an rfa after this year who will want a ton of cash, can the jets afford it? They have some other young forwards who are going to want a ton of cash.

Ok and.? JVR likely asks for ~7Mil if he gets to free agency. Trouba won't cost as much as JVR on his next deal (I'd guess a multi year deal around 5-6Mil)

It would probably take JVR, Kapanen and one of their LD prospects for Trouba and maybe a low pick. However, the site you read this on yup hasn't been right about anything in years. I think they just get bored in the summer and make stuff up.
