3 team trade. Vegas is sitting just under 6 mill under the cap with 11 nhl d men signed this year. 8 of them being 28 or younger. Colorado has 3 nhl d men signed right now. Montreal needs a center. Complicated trade. Lol.

So, vegas sends 2 d men to Colorado under 28.

Montreal sends 3 draft picks to vegas.

Montreal gets Dushene. Montreal also sends goalie Mcnevien to Colorado.

So Colorado gets 2 nhl d men under 28 and goalie Mcnevien.

Vegas gains some cap space and 3 draft picks. And Mobtreal gets Dushene for ots center

Toronto has a lot of forwards signed under contract. Edmonton only 1 head coach so Toronto trades a couple of forwards 1 defensman and a few draft picks for McDavid.

Col has 3 signed in Barrie, Johnson and barberio, plus zadorov is an rfa, whose new deal hopefully is announced within the next week. Plus with mironov signed, who's played the last 5 years in the K, that's 5. Plus they're going to give a number of young guys a look in bigras, lindholm, Siemens and meloche. Just because the avs don't have one way contracts doesn't mean they don't have defenseman. They may not be the best, but a hell of a lot better than trading duchene for a couple of journeyman. Also there are plenty of these quality defenseman that are still free agents, so why trade for them? When someone like franson, polak or jokipakka can be had for nothing?
