Leafs trade rychel lupal and 3rd
Fla Demers and a 5th

Fla wanted rychel earlier in the offseason so now they get him lupal is only in this trade for money reason goes on injury in Florida. Florida would get out of owing demers in the last 3 years of his deal.

Leafs get demers I still think this guy be a solid fit.

Not sure if the leafs do this trade for cap reasons, I appreciate demers makes similar money but they can't hide his salary on ltir like they can with lupul. They are already close to the cap and I also don't think demers is a top 4.

Demers is not what there looking for or need. - has han ok year his last for the stars, got over paid the next season. Leafs don't need him or the cap hit that comes with him.

Mclarty they are not close to cap during the season only the Offseason when they can't use the LTIR.

they are much closer to the cap if they make this trade, you lose one of your two cap hits you can hide. Leafs also still need to sign connor brown, which they have no done because they have less than 3 mil in space, plus all the bonuses from the rookies last year which is about 5 mil counts towards the cap this year. So pretty close to it.
