Edmonton fans, listen up!

I have an LV/ EDM deal.

J. Eberle to the Las Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a 2017 4th Round Pick + future considerations

The consideration: Vegas selects Benoit Pouliot from EDM at the expansion draft.

Only reason I thought of this is because people believe that to dump Pouliot, a first is needed to be traded. Eberles value is around a mid first (22, where EDM is picking)
Why not kill two birds with one stone? Edmonton wants to unload Eberle for value, and the value here is losing 4 million of dead cap space. Plus, they lost Eberles 6 million without taking a penny back.
For Vegas, its pretty self-explanatory. They get their best winger, while taking on a cup dump, but the cap won't really matter to Vegas until 3-4 years in.

Idk, I'm not tryna be like GoldenNights or anything, but I genuinely thought this was a good trade idea lol. Whadya think?

I'd do that if I were Edmonton. That's 10 mil in cap space to sign two better players then Ebs and Pouliot- Oshie and Williams.

That's a lot of cap space to fill for Vegas, I don't know if they would be fine with it.

I bet they would rather just give Vegas a pick to take Pouliot. Or wait until after expansion and trade Eberle and something for Vatanen or a scent D they snag from another team. Adding to Eberle depending on the D in trade talks they snag from another team
Highly doubt from both sides they give up those two and only get a 4th back and I highly doubt Vegas wants that much cap and them the ones giving up the pick.
There is bidding wars for teams to give them a 1st to take a bad contract. Why would they be the ones giving up a pick to take $10M.
So much wrong with this. Made my head hurt.

AND, believe it or not there has been a lot of interest in Eberle. Packs t giving him away for a 4th for the sake of it. Jeez.

Whathe do you perceive is value to be.

50 point undersized winger. Wit 6mil contract in a flat cap world. No offense just curios.

@Yup

Really, there's that much wrong with it? Pouliot is negative value, its not 'giving them two away and onky getting a 4th back'. Its giving away Eberle for the sake of getting rid of Pouliot. If Eberle can only get a first back in return, and Pouliots contract will cost a first to get rid of, isn't it better to just skip all of that and just package them together? I don't really how this 'made your head hurt'. I relatively don't think it is that far off. Eberle isn't worth the sun and the sky, he's getting a first back at best.

@Mustafarr

I guess, but they will still have a ton of cap space. Lots of their bad contracts, for example Clarkson from CBJ will be. LTIR.

Honestly like 0% chiarelli would do that. I get the point but Eberle isn't going to be dumped.

Getting so tired of trading eberle for nothing. Stop labelling eberle for his flaws as a player and look at him for what he is which is a 50-60pt RW. Believe it or not but a 55 pt average player has value. I'm nearly done with this site and the uneducated and unrealistic fans.
