Montreal:
- Alex Galchenyuk,
-Mikhail Sergachev
-Charlie Lindgren
-this year’s first round pick

NY islanders:
-John Tavares

This is Mike Bossy suggestion and I was wondering if it could work for both team or if it favours one of them.

Montreal would be foolish to do this, JT is great but with the money he's going to command and what Carey price is going to want, the habs will be handcuffed with 3 players making about 10 mil a piece!

Why not make a run at him in FA next year instead? Montreal made the playoffs with their current roster - they can stand to go another season without making a big move like this.

Why is it that people always undervalue Montreal's players and prospects?

- Galchenyuk will be a perennial 30 goal scorer. He was on pace for scoring over a point per game in the first 20 games of the year before getting injured for a lengthy period and then being mentally destroyed by Therrien upon his return.
- Sergachev is going to be a stud d-man for years to come, playing on the top line. Big body, physical, and capable of moving the puck very well, while also having a great slapshot.
- Lindgren has potential to be a starting goalie.
- Plus a 1st round pick.

For one player who is a point per game, and will likely get a huge contract.

May as well just wait it out until he reaches FA.
