Value wise it isn't too bad because it is a weak draft year. I actully think it's your best trade so far Jets, your usually really biased but this time the trade is fair for both teams so good job on that.

I think the Jets can do better than Niemi, Fleury / Murray for eg is a better tender and could be netted for less.

Makes sense to trade Myers if you have to trade one of their defenseman, then promoting Trouba to top 4 on the right side is exactly what he wanted as well.

Golden. First rational thing you've said. A back up is exactly what Niemi is!
BUT Winnipeg needs a real #1 goalie. Trading Meyers for a backup and not a true #1 would be a bad waste of a good trading chip that doesn't solve the problem in the Peg.
