Trade idea:

Detroit needs to get younger and needs some quality pieces for the future, so here I'm trying to gauge best offers for Nyquist. Looking for nice prospects and/or picks.

One idea I have:
Detroit Trades:
Nyquist

Calgary Trades:
Parsons, 1st 2017 or 2018, +?

Not sure if this is fair or what value Nyquist has from fans of other teams. As a Wings fan, I regard him highly in the sense of not trading him without getting high quality youth prospects. So what would your team pay to get him if they want him? What is likely return?

I don't think the Flames organization fully trusts Gillies to be a starter, so I don't see them trading Parsons unless they get a real bonafide starter option.

Flames have depth in goalie prospects, could look to move one and depending on the offer, possibly parsons. However they aren't trading him, adding a first and maybe more?! For a guy that hasn't put up the numbers he's capable of for 2 straight years.

Calgary isn't trading Tyler Parsons. Calgary isn't trading Jon Gillies. Both are the cornerstones for Calgary between the pipes. Especially for another centre. A grasp on reality is a valued character trait. Yours is slipping if you think this trade suggestion will happen.
