Cal: Sam Bennet and 1st 2017

NJ: Adam Henrique

This trade would signal a full scale roster tear down by the devils. Henrique would be a decent upgrade over Backlund. This would solidify the flames top 6.

Is the value there? If I were NJ I'd be willing to add.

1st would need to be a 2018 for starters as a 2017 1st is pretty much worthless. Bennett's trending towards bust, where as Henrique has proven he's an NHL calibre top 6'er, so add on the Flames part would be needed.

Don't think Henrique is that much of an upgrade over Bennett so no from Cal.

Really Golden Knights. I don't think Bennett fits there system or the player style of the west. He'd greatly benifit playing in the east imo.

Overpayment from Calgary. Bennet is still young.

Lol. Bennett is a bust. 20 yearolds are not busts.

When they play for the flames, 20 year olds who aren't 70 point players are busts lol when they are oilers. They're poised to break out and are gods gift to the world. FT4A wanted top prospects and picks 6 months ago for yakupov and yet Bennett, who is a better player by a mile, and 2 years younger is a bust and near worthless. If it's flames or oilers related, ignore FT4A.

Maybe next year.

That kind of comment can get your account disabled. I'd be careful posting nasty derogatory remarks like that.

Once again. To answer the question yet again. like I have multiple times previously.

Alberta has the luxury of being able to view all the Oiler AND Flame games. I watched almost all of them, so I have a pretty good assessment on Bennett unlike those that don't watch him every game / or are just too Flamer biased ( *cough Xcing, Totally biased Jim * lol) to admit the truth.

No Pull up Bennett isn't that good. Drafted high yes, but not progressing as a skilled top 6 point producer like he was drafted to be. Too small to play the game his mind wants to play in the bigs against the bigger guys in the league. His style of play allows him to be a decent 3rd liner on a contending team when he matures. But that's his possible ceiling. He has an arrogant obnoxious attitude about him that must alienate team mates, and is kinda a back picker. hitting people when they don't expect it.
When he matures and loses the attitude, he may become more liked on his team and gain some respect in the league.
If his salary stayed at ELC level, he would be an asset to a team as a grinder, PK specialist. But that's all he's shown that he's worth right now. An old vet nearing the end of the line, or a 2nd rounder in a draft year that's not as weak as this year's would be all that he's worth unless someone wants to go through a lot of years of mediocrity to let him develop into that good 3rd liner.

Sorry guys, Bennett has very little trade value.
Keep wishin' and hoping for anything more than a 2nd. If you're giving up more than a 2nd. Winner is Trev-Burkie in the deal.
