Montreal is making a lot of questionable trades imo.

Montreal is making moves to get bigger. They gained cap space by getting rid of a small centre, gained def insurance and added size up front. Pretty good moves actually.

I'm with MCJ on this one. they really are not getting what they actually need. There is still 1 hour for a good move and apparently they are still very active right now.

I was just thinking about this, Do you guys think Julien had much a day and wanted to get bigger more physical? Coming from Boston always known to be the "big bad Bruins". Maybe he had a say?

They look bigger and a little more ready for playoffs. A lot of big game experience in King and ott but still lack the centre. When it comes to playoffs, match ups down the middle can break a series. Danault and galchenyuk will get dominated against almost any other playoff teams top 2 centres. Most teams ready to make noise like the habs seem to think they are have 2 centres better than the habs best. After you make such a bold move like trading subban to make sure your team has the best chance to win in the next 3-4 years, they should have just paid the big price and got duchene or another real top centre.

They're making moves like they're the Penguins, adding role players and grit and a penalty killer and a 6th dman as hear final pieces, it's like bergevin forgot pens have malkin and Crosby. They're not in that class at all.

I agree with you guys and I wonder if they made a push for that top 2 guy and came up short after addressing their lack of size and grit?

Honestly think the Habs answers to a cup doesn't have Duchene in the picture. but the Islanders hold the answer. Lol. somehow the Habs need to try and get Tavares outta Brooklyn. But i don't even know where to begin with that deal.
Anyway, wishful thinking.
Im glad they didn't overspend on Duchene today. I don't see him as the peice that puts them over.

Habs trade Price to Leafs for Marner.
