Perhaps
Lazar + 5th for Bennett would be a bit more of a fair trade?

I only apply the 5th because Bennett is on the active NHL roster currently. Same player. Same abilities. Both need a change of scenery, only Lazar is a team player and Bennett has that obnoxious chip on his shoulder. Evens out.

I think at this point I can honestly say I am not the only one that becomes a little less sane every time I read one of FT4A/ K99's comments. RNH for Karlsson? Lazar for Seto? Eberle being a god send? Dougie Hamilton being a useless defenseman? Some of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

No clue who is this K99 is that you're talking about? I don't see posts from this guy ever on here. Must be on the Leafs or Habs thread or something that I don't view. Can't comment on his/ her comments as I havn't seen any.

Almost every post on here is weighted towards one team, and most don't consider today's NHL's player worths to the team that don't show up on the stats sheet, Picks that don't exist this year, no Vegas draft consideration, Contract value and term, age of the players, value to the community. Most are wishes to make their own team better and not a FAIR TRADE FOR both teams. Whatever. everyone can dream. On occasion there are some brilliant trades posted. Never seen one out of you yet.

If you disagree with the opinions. Instead of whining about it be a big boy . Explain why you disagree.
Definition of less sane is Ottawa or Montreal thinking the Oilers are going to give them RNH or Eberle for the scraps offered. It will cost Ottawa Karlson to get RNH as the Oilers do not need to or want to trade him. end of story.

Hamilton IS extremely over rated and costs too much for what he provides. Sorry, but he only made a name for himself by being associated with the Kessel Seguen fiasco. If you think otherwise, then we know your allegiances are biased towards the flaming C.
If you have intelligent backup for your reasons to think Hamilton is god's gift of D-men I would like to hear why caz I sure don't see it.

Ok FT4A here is my reasoning why Hamilton is not overrated:
1) He's 23 and improving each season
2) It is debatable whether he is playing worth his money CURRENTLY but if he continues his current upward trend he willing definately be worth his money
3) Ranks 9th in points among defensemen (I can use points because he is an offensive d man)
4) Only -1 on a team that is struggling and as a team is -13
5) 23 and is playing top pairing minutes
Now you tell me why he is overrated (Don't say because he is a Calgary Flame)
Also I would love to know why RNH = Karlsson because I'm pretty sure you wouldn't say Monahan = Karlsson even though Monahan > RNH.

Sorry. Ceci is a #5 Dman. those are a dime a dozen in Edmonton. It's not the points RNH produces, it's his all around play without the puck, his defensive abilities, his play making. He is a coaches dream as he can play all situations, AND he's young and signed long term and will soon surpass the older vets that are slowing down. Edmonton has a gem in RNH that fans that don't watch every night do not understand as they only watch only hilights and count points on the sports websites to evaluate his worth.

THE ONLY WAY THAT OTTAWA WILL GET RNH IS TO HAVE KARLSON COME BACK TO EDMONTON.
No Ceci ++ No Lazar. No Phaneuf. offers will pry him outta Etown.
I have already stated but will state again, RNH for Karlson is NOT a 1 for 1 trade. but both have to be involved in it.

I do agree with you that he is young and he is getting better. He's far from anything one would consider a Norris candidate, but has many more years to become a solid Dman.

I watch every Flamrs game. I see his goals. They are not typically skilled goals, they usually deflect in off someone or a skate or something like that. Unplanned goals if you like. I see give aways and defensive positioning errors all game long.
That's the inexperience . that's all. The Media has hyped him up a lot all due to being associated with the Kessel Segin fiasco.
This push by the media has created a false sense of how good he is right now. That's why I think he's over rated. Media push.

Honestly he's not a terrible D-man, and yes young getting better, but he's not a Norris candidate right now like some like to make him out to be.

I never said RNH = Karlson. I said Karlson has to be part of the deal if RNH goes to Ottawa. More pieces needed to make the trade even up.

K98. I think RNH will get consideration for that award down the road. He's a tad overshadowed by McD right now. Sorry Monahan won't.

I'd definitely would offer a second for Lazar. He could turn things around and mtl can draft for shut so I'd rather get him then another one of those projects that plays in the Ahluwalia for 10 years before moving to Swiss.

How does ceci and top 5 d status make any sense?

He's top 4 in Ottawa and top 2 or 3 on most other teams guaranteed. Rangers are the only place he might not make top 4 status as their blue line is crazy.
