Hendricks would be sent to minors, so why would they trade a pick and a medium prospect?

I don't see why Toronto would want an older vet right now to take a roster spot away on the youth they have that they need to get experience for. I dont' see the sense of the Oilers getting a minor leaguer that can't make the leafs squad.

This trade might have some value, but doesn't make sense at all for either team.
