Jtijh you are not off to another planet with that trade. Your are only off to another country. Rick Nash has a contract of 7.8 million dollars . Cal can't afford him at that price because a the end of the season Gaudreau, Bennet ECT are going to need new contracts. The only way I see that trade happening is if NYork restrain at least 3 million of his contract. But if New York do that their going to want to have a good young prospect or a first round pick. This might be possible:

NYC:Nash (40â„…restrain)

Cal:Kylington,2rd pick.

Value is ok but Radulov is on the right track (Gaudreau is already signed) Flames have $0 cap space. The only way the money works is the Rangers retaining 50% and taking a combination of Smid, Wideman and/ or Bouma. Those contacts aren't equal so adjust retention for the trade to be salary neutral.

Like I said value is fine maybe Flames add if Rangers retaining more than necessary.
