Bruins/ Canucks

Krejci Liles for Burrows Edler 3rd 2017

Almost same cap hit, and fills both team needs.

Krejci has 5 seasons of above 60 points and is only 30. He's an elite center who is also a proven playoff performer. I may be wrong but I think it would take a much better offer to pry him loose.

I fear Mr Burrows is done as an NHL player. As unfortune has it old age has caused him to lose a step. Sad to see players like Morrow, Horcoff and Burrows who relied on their skating to be the role players the were, now just too old to keep up with the pups.

Only way I see Burrows moving is if the Canucks and Leafs consider a trade. Burrows for Lupul as both are un-movable assets in the organizations. T. O. would get rid of a contract sooner by attaining Burrows, and Lupul would probably offer more to the current lineup than Burrows for this year for sure. maybe next year. Waivers for Lupul perhaps later on in the year, or next if he's ineffective.

With Bergeron, Backes, Spooner and Moore. the center position is crowded. In trading Krejci they can help on defence and left wing.

That does not make Boston a better team.

The word Elite is thrown around a lil to loosely. Crosby. McDavid. those guys are elite. Krejci. solid. I wouldn't even call him a star. jus a good center, more of a second line guy.

I agree with sosahabs.

Krecji is a very good player, not elite but still not a good enough package from Vancouver.

Agree. Krejci is a number 2 centre on a great team, number one on a mid to weak team. Still a really good player. Calling him Elite is subjective but that's still not enough for Boston to make that deal. Better than that whole package.

Krejci was10th in ppg for centres last year, top 50 for points in the NHL the past 3 years despite playing 30-40less games than many on the list. I think you guys are undervaluing this player.

Krejci is very good but def not elite.
And I thought Boston was going to play Backes or him at wing? I don't think they are too "worried" about having too many guys who can play center. And they def wouldn't trade him away for that package.

I don't see Why Canucks would want Krejci but not enough for him. Also what are you talking about K99. Burrows can at least play in the bottem 6 and can still be somewhat effective as a Penalty killer, leadership etc. At least unlike Lupul, Burrows can play a full season, he also only has 1 year left in his contract so Nucks are fine holding on to him. Nice try though. Who knows if Burrows has a decent first 3/ 4 the season the Canucks could retain 50% on him and maybe get a 3rd or 4th from a contending team. Lupul is actually worthless. No team will take him unless they're dumping a worse contract.

lol. some of the comments from Mtl. Krejci would be the first line center on the Habs. maybe the second too.

Ya. Seabass. He probably would be. . I don't think any of us said we had better. .? . but the guy still isn't an Elite center. Jus like a Bruins fan. being a lil B.

Sosa, you might not have said you have better today but you did once offer galchenyuk and eller for malkin. Lol. You must think galchenyuk is franchise changing to even post that.

Well he is getting better. still jus a kid and got 30 goals. no. he's not McDavid. or even close. but. I'm glad that trade didn't go through. cause when Malkin is 35 years old scoring 45 points a year. Galchenyuk will be 28 and getting 70+. .
