Dallas - Niemi, Nichushken, Oleksiak

TB - Bishop

Havn't made a trade proposal in a while

Dallas have a monster team but their goalie situation keeps them from being contenders imo. I think bishop can make a difference

Niemi is to even the cap and give tb a back-up, Nuke hasn't lived up to his potential and has been a bit disappointing in his first few years, however I can see him flourishing playing on a line with stammer and killorn or even playing him with johnson and palat if kuch plays on the top line. Oleksiak is a monster 6'7, 260 lbs defenceman, he's shown he is able to play in the nhl in his callups the past 2 years w/ dallas but he isn't going to score you many points.

What you guys think?

Idk, but if I was Tampa and taking on neimis salary unretaind I would want quite a bit more than what bishop is worth for him, like maybe add faska as well if tampas taking on neimi?

Tampas biggest issue is cap. I can't see them taking on much cap past this season in a Bishop deal.

The longer Tampa holds onto Bishop the less they will get imo. Stars would have to retain on Nemo but it's a good offer.

I forgot to retain on niemi woops, and as BJ said the longer they hold onto him the less they get unless they want to let him go for free.

If Niemi/ Lehtonen are involved and I think that would work best, then I think Callahan/ Filpula would need to be added.

Dont rule out the possibility of SY riding things out with Bish, going all in for the cup. that's what he did with not trading Stamkos last year, too. I'd rather have another cup run with Bishop than get a meh return on him (especially taking on money for next season aka Niemi would be stupid) .

Also, Bishop could work as an expansion shield for TB. If he gets claimed by LV, Killorn/ Namestnikov and Koekkoek/ Sustr are safe from being claimed, since LV can't claim more than 1 per team.

So at the end of the day, keep in mind, whatever package TB gets, it has to be worth more than the chance to win the cup with Bish plus the chance to retain all those 4 players above.
