Read a great trade on this site today.

Carolina trades:
-Justin Faulk
-Jeff Skinner

Edmonton trades:
-Benoit Pouliot
-Oscar Klefbom
-One of Hendricks/ Yak/ Kassian

This trade was made by K99. Another great idea from him, if I do say so myself.

Remember guys - salary in = salary out.
Pouliot, Klefbom, Hendrix or Yakupov or Kassian.

Faulk, Skinner.

Don't like this trade for either team.

This trade is just fine for Oil. Yeah we lose Klefbom but gain a better D and better left wing.

Lol, that package wouldn't even get you Faulk, let alone Skinner on top of that.

Why only get Faulk? Couldn't you have thrown in andrew Ference and get the canes to add hannifin? Carolina is looking for a veteran D Lol I'm sure k99 will want a pick thrown in with hannifin tho because Ference was the captain once!

Redrov,
Skinner's production has dropped off since his anomalous rookie season. His $ value for a 40-60 point man isn't as great as everyone hype's him up to be. He's having troubles staying healthy as well. Oilers already have players like him in the lineup, so he's kinda a redundant piece and not necessary for the deal. I think you have a slight overvaluation on both players if you think the 2 of them are worth that much more than 3 solid NHL'ers that included Klefbom who's potential has yet to be realized by anyone outside the Oilers organization. Klef + a little bit = Faulk. What the little bit is, is what needs to be determined. Klef could end up being > Faulk in the end.

Draft McDavid.
Yes we assume for some strange reason that he disagree's with the reasonable trade proposed and is doing this as a mockery.
If this is his mindset, BJ96 would be fired as a GM in perhaps 1 season as he'd destroy the team's future with the fines, Draft pick penalties, etc the NHL would slap on him for his blatant disregard for the Salary cap system. Salary in approximately = Salary out. Because of his lack of attention to detail in regards to players salaries, he'd probably be significantly over the cap in his first year, then have to dump talent and lose on trades to shave off cap. Term, $$ in and out, and talent in / out are all pieces of the puzzle which he and some others on here tend to fail to acknowledge for some reason?

Unbiased Jim
You're a pretty funny guy. ha ha ha. I'm sure the Oilers would take that deal as would any team! Being realistic and coming back to earth now. Unfortunately the Oilers don't have the assets to attain Faulk AND Hannifan without losing one of the valued untouchable core. Only way I see both these 2 moving is if Carolina follows the Vancouver model for disaster by refusing to admit a full rebuild is needed, and does stupid things like giving away it's top prospects + a second for little return. lol.

Wow you actually think it's a reasonable trade and you think Klefbom is that close to Faulk? LOL I'm done.

P. S what's a salary cap?

@k99
I'm not sure where the concerns about Skinner's health and production come from? He played 82 games and scored 28 goals last year. He and Faulk are very good proven NHL players. Klefbom is not. This offer would be turned down immediately by Carolina.

Why are people even debating this? It is one of the worst trades I have seen on this site. Clearly K99 is delusional and thinks he knows the exact value of every player especially in Alberta.
