Oil: Yak

Islanders: Ho-Sang + 3rd

Tavares could very well make Yak the player he should be, and it's for somebody who may have fallen out of favor in the Islanders organization. And I put a 3rd because Ho-Sang should not get you Yak, and I can't see Oilers going straight up on this.

I like it, but I may say that the Oilers say no just because it's Ho-Sang and not a RHD like Ryan Pulock. I do pike the idea of Yak to the Isles, because then their lines could be:

Ladd - Tavares - Yak/ Parenteau
Nelson - Barzal - Yak/ Parenteau
Lee - Strome - Grabovski
Chimera - Cizikas - Clutterbuck
Kulemin
Prince.

Value wise it is fair but I don't see Isles trading Ho-Sang yet. I would wait to see what happens this season. He put up good numbers last season in the minors and is really putting in the work to make the team this year a make up for his mistakes.

I don't see NYI trading Ho-Sang for Yak, let alone adding a third. Also does Ed really want Ho-Sang who has a reputation of being selfish hotdog around a group of young players?

Ho-Sang I heard matured, but if he can't work it out with the Islanders I think they could trade him. Obviously Pulock would be my first choice to get but Yak won't get him unfortunately unless Oilers add more, which would be okay with me honestly. He's good.
And I used Ho-Sang for the reason of he has matured and he's working hard to fix his rep, and he's a right shot RW, as Yak is left and Oilers have so many leftys. Thx for the feedback.

I think it's hilarious that you even have isles putting in a 3rd pick. Honestly 3rd round pick is all that yakapov is worth. Mcjessus give it up yak is close to bust.

I think if ho sang was still a problem than it might be possible just for isles to wash their hands of him. But not yet. And as of right now, I believe if chirelli was offered a 3rd or higher for yak before, he would already be dealt.

I saw ho sang play in Hamilton, I is not anywhere near to nhl. He is a puck hog. And weak on the puck. not to mention he could not hit the side of a barn. He is small. And too one dimensional to play in he nhl yet. He needs to grow up a lot as well.

I like this one. I think I would put Yak up front to have him tandem and learn with Tavaras with Parenteau on the second. Nice post MJC.
