1. Completely agree
2. Umm Joe Thornton. John freaking Scott!
3. While I can see the bust factor in his game, I just don't see it happening. My list would probably be something like 1. Chychrun, 2. McLeod, 3. Juolevi.

Dylan Strome will be a far better player than Ryan Strome and what about Luke and Brayden Schenn or Chetan Pickard and Calvin Pickard?

How many players are 6'6 with Browns vision, size and foot speed? he's a little bit of a perimeter player but has all the makings of a great top 6 playmaking center who could really excel in the cycle game.

I'm not biggest fans of McLeod either but he does have great wheels and tenacity to his game bUT is a little to light on the puck for me aND isn't cinsistent eno ugh offensivly either. I'm probably take him somewhere between 13 to 17.

Alex doesn't have near the foots peed that William does but he still has super hands, shot and vision to atleast become a big threat to a teams power play.

"im pretty much right in those type of thing" God you are a gem.

By the way regarding Brown there are plenty of good big players in the NHl. Just to name a few, Hanzal, Barkov, Jagr, Nash, Lucic, Brian Boyle, Bjugstad. Most of these players listed however are strictly gritty power forwards whereas Brown has some really nice offensive ability.

Oddly enough i agree with you about the brother thing, usually when there is a superstar with a brother the brother is most of the time a bottom liner at best. The Benns and Subbans (Not Malcolm) come to mind. Jury is still out on D. Strome and A. Nylander though they could both become really good players.

Lol what are you saying.

IMO Luc Dubois will be a 2nd line center at most. I'm not sure if Chychrun will pan out. Same with Jost, Keller and Bellows there high risk high reward prospects. Could be stars or AHL players.

Good thing Montreal will draft one of those 3 players if they stay at 9. Haha.

I think you are right about McLeod. He will be a 2/ 3 centre. His speed and skating are unbelievable, he's a great passer and is relentless on the ice. At worst he will be a 3rd line centre and a great pk guy. His lack of decent shot or finish will hold him back though.

Brown I see more as a 2nd line centre. He has an amazing shot, is great on the boards and an excellent passer as well. Will be able to play both on the pp and pk.

Dubois definitely has a chance to be a top line guy.

I am not a Juolevi fan though and think that the world juniors inflated his value big time and it never came back down. He can skate beautifully, is a great passer, and can run a pp but he is 10 ply soft, doesn't have a great shot, a lacks a bite in his game that I want in my d men. He will most likely be a second pairing, pp specialist type d man.

@VBB
Just wondering why you think PLD ceiling is a 2nd line C? Just curious, I think he has the tools and potential to be number 1 C. I also think in 10 years, Jost will be a top 5 player from this draft.

Agreed BJ96.

Isn't Pierre Luc Dubois a winger? I could be wrong but that's what I thought I saw and I'm pretty positive he's a LW.

@McJesus
He may have played some LW. He's versatile enough to play all 3 F spots imo.

Yeah BJ I just read something that said he's capable of playing all 3 forward positions (but comfortable at center) . That's very valuable in my opinion.

Barkov is about 6 foot 3 i did mention 6, 6 side and taller

Chynchrun is to me with sergachev and juollevi the real deal.

30 May 2016 07:42:45
Charles maybe but he did not do nothing in the nhl yet!

Ps i spotted dergachev last year a big center that had a very good year and none of montreal paid scout went and pick him!

My Steel pick for this year are noah gregor d men and Jordan kyrou.

Montreal just off the top of my head for guys who've dominated the game at 6'6 or taller I can think of Pronger Chara Hedman and Bishop. Mostly D-men but not an absurd notion. I don't see what height has to do with it except giving you longer reach.

Yo CX, what's your brief report on Jost? You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to prospects. Just wondering your opinion on him.

Not trying not to hype him up to potential franchise player, but I've heard he has similarities to both Crosby and Toews in his game. Obviously not expecting him to be that type of caliber but some pretty nice comparables.

"nylander thé younger brother are always not has good has thé réal deal! Stall, bure strome"

What about the Reinharts? Sam > Griffin > Max. I just proved that you're not "pretty much right about these things" 2 X in one family.

Henrik is better than Daniel though. So his statement is essentially bullet proof lol.

Jb justinbieber. Lol i mention center not d Man.

Jost is unbelievable. I've been able to watch him for the past two years when Penticton comes to play in my hometown. He would probably be higher ranked if he went to the W instead of the BC though.

21.) 30 May 2016
30 May 2016 20:03:48
I do see Jonathan Towes in Jost but it's a hit or miss for him IMO Luc Dubious is good at everything and is a very versatile player but I just don't see anything Elite and I seen him play probably more then anyone here he dose everything but he's just not a game-changer.

Mario Lemieux?
