oddly enough, these aren't actually that bad. i mean, there's still lots of excess garbage players that can be talen out like reway, bennett, lekhonen, and thomas, but its not all that bad. pretty surprised.

A 1st and a 2nd is a lot for Iginla IMO.

To much in my opinion... you guys have to remember that these guys are pushing 40.... and when you subtract that many prospects from this team.. your hurting them for years to come.... the current team has a legitimate shot at a cup run.. not a guarantee at all.. Tampa .NYR and Caps will have its to say about that.. but I jus don't see giving up most of your prospect pool and future picks for a couple guys that may not even have any chemistry with the team.. maybe try and get one... but not both...

Despite all players 'traded', Habs actually keep all their core (mainly 1st round) prospects: McCarron; Hudon, Scherbak, Tinordi, Juulsen ... and they don't give up any key roster players for long playoff runs this and next year as most of team is signed beyond this season. ( McCarron & Hudon could play 3rd line if Habs can't retain pending UFAs Dutch Gretzky & Fleis4fanatsy next summer)

with these 2 trades: Habs top 9 is beyond complete:

Max / Plek / Iginla
Marleau / Gally / Gallagher
Fleis4fanatsy / DD/ Dutch Gretzky
& solid 4th line :
Byron (Flynn) / Mitchell / DSP

Bergevin would be fired if he did this.
Iginla is worth one pick, one prospect, and one low level roster player so Habs can fit Iggy's salary in.
