Not proposing this deal or saying it's good/bad, just saw two guys complete this in kind of a Mock GM game. Just thought it's an interesting one.

NSH gets: Jonathan Drouin, Brayden Coburn, Cedric Paquette, Henri Ikonen

TB gets: Roman Josi, Kevin Fiala

What do you guys think? Who wins? Or fair trade?

Definetly got to say Tampa bay, just cuz,

Josi >= Drouin
Fiala > The rest

I mean, coburn did go for a first, but that was a WAYYYY overpayment by Tampa (what was Yzerman thinking) and Paquette is good, don't know the other guy, but I think Fiala is worth more than that, and at best I would say Driouin is equal, not better. Not TOOO far off, but not TOO close either.

And, for those who ONLy read the trade nothing else, HE ALREADY KNOWS IT isn't going to HAPPEN

Not even close to fair for Nashville. Josi is on the right side of 30 and could already be argued as a top 10 D man in the league. Drouin and Fiala are close to wash although I still think Drouin >= Fiala. Coburn (a UFA next year), Paquette (4th liner) and Ikonen (who?) Isn't even close to enough for Josi IMO.

From Tampa I don't really like it. But that's probably bias and that I don't know enough about Fiala. I'm very worried about giving up on Drouin too soon

no from nashville. Josi was arguably their best dman and with him weber and jones they will have one of the best defences in the league for a long time. If I were them I would try and trade fiala for some forward help without giving up one of their big dman. Drouin hasn't proven enough yet to be worth a Josi and coburn is aging. In my mind this would be a step backword for nashville

Pretty fair value IMO. I would take Josi and Fiala though. Very difficult to pass on Drouin.

its good, fair, but I don't see nash trading josi, they would trade weber first for way more than josi would garner and keep the younger cheaper option whos learned from the best.

josi would make tb best d in league, so I see why you would want him

drouin would become a star in nash. still will in tb though.

Since I read everything from TB wins over fair trade to NSH wins, trade can't really be one-sided in any direction, I guess.

Drouin is still a 3rd overall draft pick. He could very easily be a point per game player in NSH in a year from now. Coburn is a worse replacement for Josi, Fiala a worse replacement for Drouin. Since the gap between Josi and Coburn is prolly a bit bigger than the one between Drouin and Fiala, TB adds Paquette and Ikonen.
Like it for both, fits everyone's needs. NSH's D is stil very good while they gain what imo will be a franchise forward. TB has an abundance of those and further strengthens their D while replacing Drouin in their prospect pipeline.

As I said, I didn't PROPOSE THIS OR ANYTHING, just wanted to hear opinions so keep you "trying to sneak one in"-bs.

And btw, that trade isn't one-sided. Drouin is a legit first line player 1-2 years from now. As I said above, Coburn replaces Josi, Fiala replaces Drouin. Since the first gap is a bit bigger, TB adds a prospect and Paquette.
Plus it fits both teams needs.

Like whom? Sure won't be Koekkoek/DeAngelo.

Could offer Masin/MacLeod. Both were 2nd round picks in 2014, I think. Maybe Blujus, Dotchin, Thomas. Depending on what/whom NSH likes.
