I made an earlier post about a blues and maple leafs trade and took into account what everyone posted and made a new trade.

Stl - Alex Pietrangelo, T.J Oshies

Tor - Phil Kessel, Morgan Rielly, Daniel Winnik, 2015 1st rd pick

Toronto gets a proven stud dman, a strong winger to replace kessel on the top line

The blues get kessel who who solves their problem with scoring as he is one of the top 5 point producing forwards in the league over the past couple of years and scores at a point per game pace in the playoffs as well. They get Rielly who helps on the cap and can still play solid minutes and project to be a solid top dman for a long time to come. Winnik is added in because they need another forward for the pk, frederik gauthier is a solid third or fourth line guy in the future, and they get a strong pick in the upcoming draft

I think if toronto trades kessel it would make bozak unhappy so I was tempted to add him in here with Berglund but I don't think the blues need another center.

the blues are in win now mode, things you don't do in win now mode are trade your #1 stud defenseman.

Because he's streaky? Like pretty much every other elite goal scorer and point producer in the NHL. The only reason Kessel is getting this kind of flake is because he plays in the biggest market in the NHL and the media will take any chance they will get to tear a player down. Get your head out of the gutter.
