Horrible trade for toronto. Pit adds huge on this one.

Martin is on an expiring contract and is 33 years old so his best days are behind him. JVR is young on a team friendly contract and one of the most consistent player for toronto.

if the leafs trade JVR I will officially retire my leafs jerseys. he is a core player, produces, and seems like a good guy for the dressing room. Exactly what leafs need.

Martin is one of the best defenders in the league right now and could help Toronto out, who is very lackadaisical in the defensive side of the game. Also, Nylander could come over as long as his contract through ALLSV will get terminated.
