Sharp and McNeil
To Columbus Blue Jackets for
Anisimov, 2015 1st, 2016 4th

Hawks get solid down the middle
Jackets become quite formidable all around

Bickell/Toews/Hossa
Saad/Richards/Kane
Vesteeg/Anisimov/Shaw
Morin/Kruger/Smith
Regin

Keith Seabrook
Oduya Hjalmarsson
Rozival Leddy
Rundblad

(I actually take Rundblad > Rozival but I think Coach Q begins like this

I would like this trade if you change the 2016 4th rounder into a 2nd rounder.
and the lines could be a little more different

Saad/Toews/Hossa
Morin/Richards/Kane
Bickell/Anisimov/Shaw
Smith/Kruger/Versteeg
Regin

Really hard to say what the exact lines would be with Quenneville, but as a Chicago native, I'd just like to see us comfortably under the cap for once and be more balanced up front

Good trade

Because this proposal has received general acceptance, just proves to me I do not understand Hockey talent. Sharp a right handed shot (78 pts), scores more points than team mates Toews and Kane will return a 3rd line center and a 1st only if a former 1st is included in the trade. Surely this is a joke, the 12th highest scorer last year is worth a 3rd line center (39 pts) and a 1st? Martin St Louis (7 yr older than Sharp, 19th top scorer with 69 pts) returned 2 1sts & Callahan so surely a package of Sharp & McNeil should return at least 2 1st and a first line player would you not think?

Sharp is great, but he's starting to age and got a lot of those points because he played with Hossa and Toews most of the year
It's like James Neal scoring 40 goals playing with Crosby and Geno. Few thought he could do that. Jonathan Cheecoo scored idk how many goals being fed passed from Thornton 10 years ago. Don't get me wrong, Sharps an awesome Hockey player, but his best years are behind him and I don't think he does as well without an awesome center feeding him the puck.
